Position Purpose (Summary) The function of this position is to: * To work with the team to create a positive trade show experience for exhibitors and attendees * Have creative and adaptive skills coupled with a CAN-DO attitude to think and work outside the box when required to help the team achieve their goal Dispaly Shop Technician s Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks * Fabricate and build displays and fixture for Trades Shows and Expos * Transporting and erecting displays and fixtures at remote locations * Can design and build from either drawings or sketches. * Carpentry, mechanical, assembly and electrical skills to integrate in to displays. * Painting and * Facility cleaning and trash removal * Establish and maintain good communications with Managers, Supervisors, staff, clients, exhibitors and other show site personnel. * Transporting equipment and labor to event sites * Moving materials using a variety of Wisconsin Expo s company vehicles and equipment. * Driving full-size pickup trucks and /or towing trailers * Operation of powered material handling equipment. * As well as other duties as assigned.
