Benefits: * Competitive Compensation * Medical, Dental and Insurance * Disability and Life Insurance * Paid Time Off Program - Paid Holidays, Paid Sick & Vacation Time * 401k * Parts Counter Sales * Factory Training Provided Responsibilities: * Properly complete the service and/or repairs for which trained as assigned by supervisor. * Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures. * Immediately report to supervision or management any shop equipment that is malfunctioning or that requires maintenance. * Properly use and promptly return the special tools and equipment provided by the service department. * Promptly notify service consultant of any additional services needed and complete additional services only when authorization is obtained. * Notify Service Supervisor after initial two hours of diagnostics in determining status of the repair. * Participate in and utilize to the best of one s abilities technical training as assigned by management. * Produce quality work that evidences pride of workmanship. * Maintain your assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner. * Ensure that guest vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced. * Show the utmost courtesy to all guests, visitors and dealership personnel. * Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management. * Review the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management. * Strictly adhere to manufacturer s policy and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time and repair order documentation when performing warranty repairs and torque specifications. * Provide the administrative assistance necessary to complete warranty repair orders and other tasks assigned by management or required by the warranty administrator. * Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy guest needs. * Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner. * Maintain ASE certification as required. * Maintain a highly professional appearance at all times. Uniforms (as designated by management) will be properly worn and maintained. * Maintain timecards and flag sheets as directed by management and manufacturer. * Provide details of the repair on the work order including the three Cs: Customer Complaint, Cause, and correction. * Update repair advocate and I Know case files several times during the day and at the end of your shift. * Update Service Supervisor prior to the end of the shift the status of the repair. Return the work order packet with the keys inside at the end of your shift. * Check OEM website or Rapidserv for components or repairs requiring pre-approval. * Provide ECM image and OEM documentation completely filled out and included in the work order jacket. * Warranty cores tag all warranty cores with the VIN number and RO number and have the work order signed when the cores are turned in by the Warranty Administrator or Service Supervisor. * Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and or management of the company. * Complete all OEM educational requirements in the specified timeframe. Qualifications: * Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team * Must be self-motivated * Must conduct oneself in a professional manner * Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs * Preferred to be Certified by International in at least six areas of technical knowledge * Preferred to have a CDL * Preferred to be ASE Certified Mechanic, Technician, Service Mechanic, Service, Trucking, Heavy Technician, Master, Engine Technician, Master Tech, Master Technician, Service Tech, Tech, Truck Tech, Truck Service Tech, Transportation, Heavy Equipment, Express Tech, Truck Engine, Power Tech, Generator Technician, Tire Care, ASE Master, ASE, Heavy Duty Truck, Entry-level Tech, Diesel Generator Technician, Level A, Level B, CDL, Diesel Tech Mechanics
