Spray Painter (Houston) - Full-time / Part-time

The Spray Painter is responsible for spraying surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective primer, using spray gun: Cleans grease and dirt from product, using materials, such as lacquer thinner, turpentine, soap, and water Whirlwinds goal is to provide fabricated structures for families, congregations and businesses, in the most efficient manner while maintaining a safe work environment. The role of the Spray Painter is crucial to the overall manufacturing process of our products Responsibilities: * Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color, according to specifications, using paddle or mechanical mixer * Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose, using wrenches * Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray according to knowledge of painting technique * Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply primer or finish coat * May use grinder, wire brush, or steel wool to remove rust from meta Qualifications: * Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent * Ability to operate overhead crane and forklift * Must be able to pass a Pulmonary fit test * Meticulous attention to detail with a desire to produce high quality and accurate work
