About this job

Reservation duties include, but are not limited to:
* Answering all reservations related incoming calls.
* Checking expected arrivals for any duplicate reservations.
* Communicating clearly to customers and co-workers.
* Maintaining work areas neat and organized.
* Maintaining files for all definite arrivals.
* Using good judgment to decide occupancy levels.
* Assisting in the billing of no-show reservations.
* Blocking reservations for suites to accommodate special requests.
* Coordinating group room blocks with Sales department.
* Inputing and accurately filing all reservations received.
* Posting advance deposits to correct accounts.
* Reviewing hotel information and availability.
* Assisting Director of Revenue Management with all tentative and definite paperwork for groups.
* Assisting the Front Office with pre-registration of V. I. P. s and local Preferred accounts.
* Performing any other reasonable duties as required by the department head.
Position may require sitting and standing for up to 8 hours a day.
Knowledge of Reservations Office systems preferred, but not required.
