Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly - Support - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is currently hiring manufacturing engineers for a company in the Decatur area.

This is a long term contract engineering opportunity.

1. Supporting the day to day operation of the line in the fabrication & assembly areas.
2. 2. Identifying root cause of quality issues that show up day to day, troubleshooting and perform corrective action.
3. 3. Working with operators to ensure quality and safety are top priority within assembly areas.
4. 4. Performing general process improvements as opportunities arise from partnership with operators to observations throughout standard day to day activity.
5. Work through continuous improvement cards day to day to support continue improvement in assembly areas.
6. Monitor torque levels for assembly and make changes where needed - document process updates and standard work instructions.

Qualifications

1. Engineering related degree, preferably Bachelor's in manufacturing or industrial.

2. 1-2+ years of experience in industrial assembly or industrial machining environment/fabrication

3. 1-2+ years of experience in CIT & related process improvement techniques in an assembly, fabrication, or machining environment.
