MUST HAVES
1) Active CPHT for pharm techs
2) Experience from retail, specialty or call center pharmacy (CVS/Caremark, Express Scripts)
3) Experience in prior authorizations (from insurance companies)
4) Highly motivated, willing to learn new things/train, customer service appreciation and comfortability over the phone
5) Passion for patient care
Patient Service Representative will provide administrative support to pharmacy liaisons, pharmacy technicians and finance teams primarily through pharmacy insurance verification and prior authorizations.
Candidate will:
- Manage calls from insurance providers, patients and the hospital pharmacy
- Facilitate prescription prior authorizations
- Assist patients in obtaining funding assistance when necessary
- Coordinate prescription consolidation and transfer, medication refills and monthly check ins with patients
- Staff customer service line for our pharmacies
- Input data, perform reconciliations and prepare action plans for follow-up
- Manage, organize, and update relevant data using database applications
- Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences, and project team activities
- File data and perform other routine clerical tasks as assigned and for other departments as needed
