About this job

Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of information systems (report writing and database management) associated with the collection, retrieval, accessibility, and usage of information for planning and decision making. Maintains internal database files and tables, and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of department management and staff. Works with department personnel to evaluate software and hardware needs and may design new or modify existing systems/databases to meet changing demands. Often works with other departments and their personnel to coordinate retrieval and reporting functions. May serve as department liaison to MIS/IT function. Business Information Analysis Senior Is able to function independently with minimal oversight and direction. May instruct and guide lower level technical professionals. Assignments are broad in nature and diverse in scope. Typically designs and develops approaches that are implemented by others.

Ability encompasses in-depth knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization.

* Program for Member Migration of Care 1st (Medical and Medicare company)
* Migrating their legacy system to platform (have about a year to finish activity)
* Support business readiness for moving from A to B
* Need independent thinkers (we don't want someone we have to tell what to do)
* Can report out in a team environment
* First time Medicare/medical has been used on facets for care 1st/blue shield migration
* Updated on desk level procedures
* Be able to do testing
* Must have business process mapping skills
* Opportunity for some telecommuting once trained and established

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Medi-Cal and Medicare
  • Experience with systems conversions
  • Experience with Appeals & Grievances
  • Background is claims processing
  • Healthcare industry experience
