About this job

Client seeking a Contract Research Associate to become part of the Biotechnology organization. The future of biotechnology traits will depend on the ability to optimize protein function through designed engineering and evolution. The selected candidate will work as part of the High Throughput Protein Optimization team in Cambridge, MA, to deliver protein improvement solutions to Monsantos next generation biotechnology products. On this team, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with talented lab scientists and bioinformaticians to evaluate protein function in biochemical, cellular and other in vitro assays. The Research Associate will perform research and/or development in collaboration with others, make detailed observations, analyze data, interpret results, and communicate with stakeholders. This role presents an opportunity to directly support global Biotechnology pipeline by designing and processing experiments associated with the progression and fulfillment of product requirements.

Responsibilities include:
* Evaluate and improve protein function using high throughput gene engineering, protein expression and purification, and biochemical and cell based assays and imaging
* Deliver high quality data in a timely manner
* Track samples and results across multiple testing platforms
* Maintain detailed research records in electronic systems
* Collaborate with members of the team and across functions to deliver results
