About this job

*Through a combination of company provided training and bill auditing best practices develops understanding of utility terminology and units of measure, weather related usage patterns, market related changes and internal audit process to analyze daily utility bills.
*Accountable for daily review of system generated exceptions or edits in assigned client or industry queue(s) to quickly distinguish billing errors from normal variations in usage, rates, and cost to identify potential cost savings for the client.
*Through routine interactions develops and maintains professional working relationships with client representatives, utility service representatives and internal coworkers.
*Corresponds with client representatives, utility service representatives and internal coworkers in highly professional and timely manner; being clear, concise, and ensuring all pertinent information is provided.
*Facilitates and/or coordinates billing issue resolution utilizing email and telephone; aggressively pursue cost savings opportunities on clients' behalf through persistent follow up with utility personnel on identified bill issue.
*Serves as the final audit point for data accuracy and has responsibility for making data corrections either prior to and or after the payment of the invoice/bill.
*Understand all cost and consumption reporting capabilities of existing systems (such as Facility IQ, Performance IQ, UIS) and how to resolve data discrepancies in the system.
*Organize, prioritize, and use time management tools to ensure proper follow-up is completed.
*May recognize symptoms that indicate significant, out-of-the-ordinary, client expense problems; gathers information from multiple sources to support existence of significant problem, trends, and opportunities; concisely relay information to client representative, utility representative and required internal coworkers per process.
*Maintains expected department metrics.
*Perform other duties as assigned.
