Now seeking HVAC TECHNICIANS to join our Craft Construction Team!

We are looking for candidates that have prior schooling or applicable experience that would like to get into the trade and build a long term career with our client(s).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Following the guidance and supervision of the Journeyman Team Lead, the HVAC Installation Technician assists with installation and repairs on commercial, industrial, and manufacturing facilities; and ultimately ensures the vision of HVAC projects designers is executed with the highest levels of quality and craftsmanship. The Technician should strive to maintain an efficient pace of work, provide the highest level of customer service, remain highly self-sufficient, and ensure job site safety at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Active and/or Valid HVAC Experience or relatable experience: facility maintenance experience Significant knowledge of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, hot water heaters, exhaust fans, electronic air cleaners and humidifiers is preferred. Knowledge of pneumatic controls and tubing HVAC Blueprints and schematics related to install or maintenance is preferred. This is an ENTRY LEVEL position and DOES NOT require any certifications or experience, but it is preferred.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Implement project installation & Maintenance according to plans, ensuring the highest levels of quality, accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform installation work on hydronic systems, ground- or air-source heat pumps, mini-splits, HRV/ERV, chillers, gas piping, controls, and related equipment.
  • Startup installed equipment and adjust to the manufactures and job specifications.
  • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance and service repairs on plumbing, heating, ventilating, and hydronic systems.
  • Fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal ductwork.
  • Measure and adjust airflow and refrigerant levels
  • Cut and thread pipe, and assemble and install pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Layout and install low voltage wiring and controls (if properly licensed).
  • Efficiently communicate needs (material, equipment, information, and crew) to PMs.
  • Solicit purchase orders and procure additional materials when necessary.
  • Interpret drawings and blueprints with a critical eye and report possible issues to PMs when in doubt.
  • Verify that applicable equipment and systems are installed according to contract documents, manufacturer recommendations, and industry accepted best practices.
  • Represent company to clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
  • Ensure and maintain safety on the job site in excess of OSHA standards.
