About this job
The Technician will be perform sample prep, make media as well as perform PCR analysis and other Microbiological Analysis on the customer's samples.
The first month of the job may require this individual to simply perform data entry and paperwork in the office until they become familiar with everything. There is a chance that the technician will perform lab work immediately, but it depends on the training schedules with other team members.
Additional Duties:
- Analysis and Approval of Results
- Follow proper food safety handling guidelines
- Testing of Sample products
- VIDAS and PCR/Bax
- Aseptic Technique
- Sample Prep
- Quality Checks
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a Science related field
- Academic experience working within a laboratory (General lab techniques, Aseptic Technique, Sample Preps, PCR, Etc.)
- Must be able to work standing on your feet for up to 8 hours.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate lab notebook keeping skills
