Transportation Business Analyst - Full-time / Part-time

Supporting strategic planning and ongoing management through financial analysis and business modeling. Prepares analyses, business models, and trend reports to assist in the evaluation of key business or product opportunities and determination of business strategies. 3-4 years experience

Why is this role open? What need will this worker fill?
There are three partners left on the team that report directly to the hiring manager, as one Business Analyst (BAM) and one Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) transitioned from the team. This CW will fill a hybrid role (cross between a BAM and SFA).

What does a typical work day entail? What are the daily tasks/responsibilities/deliverables?
- There will be a lot of transactional level work, some global transactions, but not a terrible amount.
- Accounts Payable is the ultimate function of the team, but they're also working to implement a transportation management system via Oracle. They manage all transactions from origin to cup (in all countries).
- This CW will work with journal entries, recons, they'll work with carriers, and will occasionally help the Distribution Inventory Group with auditing.

What are the must/nice to have skills you are looking for in this CW?
MUST HAVE:
- SQL
- Excel (general formula knowledge)
- General accounting knowledge

Nice to have:
- Oracle Transportation Management knowledge, if the candidate has knowledge on this module this will be HUGE
- transportation knowledge, truck loads vs ocean containers

THINGS TO NOTE:
- The team tends to tackle projects and tasks as a team
- a lot of the work isn't necessarily quantitative
- the hiring manager will hold weekly 1 on 1's to provide feedback and coach
