Job Summary: A manufacturer in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Industrial Sewer for their organization. The sewing of leather and upholstery is part of the job and measuring and excellent hand/eye coordination is required. Duties include running an industrial sewing machine. This candidate needs to be very self-directed and be able to work on their own. This position requires a mechanically inclined individual who is capable of multi-tasking.
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Position Type: Full-time, evaluation hire
Pay: $13.00 per hour
Schedule: 1st shift 5:00am-3:30pm and 2nd shift 3:30pm-2:00am
Qualifications: Applicants must have a minimum of 3-5 years of industrial sewing experience within the furniture industry. A history of excellent attendance and punctuality is required as well as above par math, measurement, and manual dexterity. National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) preferred, but not required.
