POSITION PURPOSE
The Events Manager is responsible for supporting planning, development, and communication of Merchandising Events for the stores. This individual will communicate inventory requirements, build communication tools and partner with key stakeholders for execution. They will manage the communication of Event merchandising direction to stores including creating guides for events.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Partners with SSC and field merchants to execute major Events for the off shelf and cross merchandising programs
Identifies solutions to problems (SKU changes, product availability issues, etc.)
Reinforces the rules of engagement, off shelf merchandising planning tools, and any changes to overall program with merchants
Along with Director of Events, merchants and vendors, sets endcaps and register stackouts at the IC each quarter
Provides support on quarterly IC walk to ensure leadership understands the merchants strategy and any in-store presentation concerns
Maintains business partnership with IPR and other internal/external partners
Updates and maintains program calendar and ensures timelines are met
Implements merchandising strategy for events and provide reporting and analytics
Produces printed documents for store associates that summarize the merchandising direction for the off shelf, cross merchandising and other merchandising programs as needed
Follows-up with store communications to on the MAP area of myApron to ensure information is presented efficiently to store associates
Supports the production timeline, including merchant review and agency deadlines
Executes process improvement and program communications strategy
Establishes checkpoints to ensure agency partners meet timelines for the production of documents, deliverables and performance metrics
Manages consolidation for all SKU updates and changes, including any supply chain concerns for event merchandise
Works with Director of Events on special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Position reports to Director of Events.
No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performance.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Additional Qualifications:
Strong retail and store operations experience required
