POSITION PURPOSE
Pro Sales Associates are primarily responsible for building relationships with retail and wholesale customers. Key responsibilities for this position include providing outstanding customer service, processing orders/quotes, and possess excellent decision making and problem solving skills. Associates must ask questions to clarify customers need of services and demonstrate effective up-selling and closing techniques to ensure that the project is complete.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • 25% Using knowledge of customer's line of business to anticipate their needs
  • 25% Developing one-on-one relationships with all customers
  • 25% Ability to organize, understand and develop techniques for managing large National and local projects as it relates to specific customer request
  • 25% Creating customer quotes and processes fax, phone and email orders quickly and accurately
NATURE AND SCOPE
Position reports to Customer Service Supervisor.
No direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1 years

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Additional Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year account management/sales management experience
  • 1 plus years home improvement or home building industry experience
  • Successful professional growth in a high paced retail environment
  • Computer literacy with Internet Explorer and MS Office programs
  • Efficient in ProMaster 7
  • Mincron (As400) knowledge

  • Demonstrates a strong ability to create and cultivate an active network of relationships both inside and outside the organization; Ability to leverage relationships to accomplish sales
  • Deep understanding of Pro customer needs with a focus on fulfilling 100% of their product and performance requirements
