Production Specialist - Printer Operator

Summary: Integrity Staffing is seeking an experienced wide format industrial pre-press and printing operator for a temp-to-hire role in Indianapolis, IN. Seeking experience in artwork production, file set-up and pre-press for industrial wide format digital printing, as well as experience with related print software. Your time will be split with other duties assigned within production of our carbon fiber rims when printing needs are low.

Job Location

Indianapolis, IN – Park 100 area

 

Shift Schedule

Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am 

 

Pay Rate

$14.50 - 15.50/hr based on experience

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up jobs for digital printing including: RIPing, file retrieval and queue management procedures
• Print the job according to exact specifications
• Partner with Industrial Designers to adjust images as needed
• Ensure optimal print quality based on print method and customer needs
• Maintain and update RIP print recipe libraries
• Print on a large format printer
• Maintenance of industrial printer

 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous wide format industrial printing experience
• CNC Machine operator or related education/experience
• Strong Computer and Mathematical Skills
• Thorough knowledge of Measurement Equipment (including Calipers, Micrometers, Cadillac/Height Gages,)
• High school diploma or equivalent required, vocational training preferred
• English (spoken and written) required
• Ability to separate, re-purpose, and alter art files for different printing methods and RIP software
• Ability to solve file and software issues
• Advanced attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong collaborative working style
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Would prefer a working understanding of basic digital imposition, trapping, overprinting, dot/press gain, ink density, ghosting, color space, die cutting and color theory
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Il illustrator CS6, Photoshop CS6 preferred
• Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time
• Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination
• Ability to routinely lift and carry products and materials weighing as much as 50 lbs
