Press Assistant

PRIDESTAFF is currently seeking a PRESS ASSISTANT for a client located in Romeoville, IL. This is a 3rd shift TEMP-TO-HIRE position starting at $11.00 per hour, with a raise upon hire.

3rd shift: 10:00pm-6:06am Monday-Friday

The PRESS ASSISTANT is responsible for assisting the Press Operator in set-up, clean-up, and the general running of Flexco presses.

*Training will be provided for the right candidate*

Job Duties and Expectations:

• Handle basic press functions and load paper to presses
• Monitor quality of finished product, refer quality problems or product errors to Press Operator or shift supervisor for resolution
• Read work order job instructions and item copy cards
• Mount printing plates
• Relieve Operators for breaks and lunches
• Tasks will also include those assigned to Packer positions
  

Requirements:

• MUST have at least 6-8 months of recent manufacturing or warehouse experience
• Some type of previous machine operating experience is a plus, but not required
• Other helpful previous experience: packing, assembly line, quality control
• Must be MECHANICALLY INCLINED!!
• Must have basic math skills and be able to pass a basic math assessment
• Must assist with Packing duties when needed
