Practice Coordinator

Location: Alpharetta / Cumming

Job Type: Temp to hire

Compensation: $17 per hour

The Practice Coordinator will be working with Orthodontic Practices to provide a service in support of patient acquisition, financing and ongoing management. This is a ground floor opportunity with the chance to join a new division of a stable, proven company. Ideal job for a motivated, self-starter looking to be part of rolling out a new service to the market.

Practice Coordinator Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Support insurance benefit verification and may assist with claims processing services
  • Verify insurance benefits using electronic, web, phone, and fax back methods
  • Coordinate insurance benefits when multiple plans exist
  • Manage communications with patients and practice staff
  • Discuss financial arrangements
  • Communicate with various insurance carriers
  • Communicate with practice staff and patients about benefits, co-pays, and care authorization
  • Collaborate with cross functional team on continuous improvement projects related to processes and / or product improvements
Practice Coordinator Requirements include (include but are not limited to):
  • Recent prior experience with processing medical insurance claims and/or eligibility checks (orthodontic or dental claims management preferred)
  • Prior claims experience as a Front Desk Receptionist or Treatment Coordinator is preferred
  • Familiarity with routine dental / orthodontic treatments and the associated insurance claims forms
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and active listening
  • Negotiating skills - payment plans on collections and assisting practices in this area
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and solve poorly defined problems
  • Ability to consistently follow process flows in delivering customer service
  • Technology skills - e-mail, open and close files, save data, posting financial data (into practice management software)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Documents
  • Have the ability to learn and utilize business related software systems
  • Must exhibit empathy and compassion for patients
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly, and show a sense of urgency
  • Strong judgment and decision making abilities
  • Natural curiosity with a strong aptitude to learn quickly
  • Must be willing to submit to thorough background check and drug screen
