Description: PARC Technicians-Pharmacy technician role in filling prescriptions in an automated robotic environment providing mail order services for KPCO, other Kaiser regions & central fill services for KP outpatient pharmacies. This technician will work closely w/ the mail order pharmacy as well as the KPCO outpatient clinics to meet the member's needs. Mail Order, CPCRS & CPAAS Technicians-Pharmacy technician role supporting patients in a standard office environment. Works directly with pharmacists to support patient care by working reports, supporting correspondence & notification. Primary duties include direct contact with patients by phone.

Essential Functions:

Works closely with pharmacists, team members & other pharmacies to fill prescription orders.

Additional duties include but are not limited to; Arrange for courier delivery or pick up, replenishing robotic equipment, robotic maintenance, cleaning, stocking, return to stock procedure, packing, filing, light phone duty.

Works with software applications for inventory management.

Also accountable for consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, & behaviors necessary to provide superior & culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, & to purchasers, contracted providers & vendors

Basic Qualifications:

Experience- One (1) year of pharmacy tech experience or completion of a certified pharmacy technician program with experiential rotation, or six (6) months of experience as a KP pharmacy clerk.

Experience with pharmacy operation systems.

Education

High school graduation or equivalent.

License, Certification, Registration

PTCB Certification Required.

Additional Requirements:

Effective oral communication skills with co-workers.

Basic math skills, computing skills, and knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology.

Prolonged standing, no sitting, extensive walking, repetitive upper extremity motions and the ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Must authorize a DEA screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with personal computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
