Schedule: Mon.-Sat. 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 32-40 hours per week
This is a temporary position starting immediately and working through the end of October
Job Duties
a?? Make caramel and other candy products from scratch in a food manufacturing environment following specific recipes.
a?? Monitor and cook candy according to directions.
a?? Clean prep area and cooking area as needed.
a?? Ability to follow formal Food Safety and Sanitation Programs.
a?? Ability to follow Temperature and Weight calibration procedures.
a?? Use in-house computer system to manage batches and ingredients.
a?? Ability to safely use and operate high capacity cooking equipment.
Requirements
a?? Read, write, and speak English fluently.
a?? Accurately use Windows Based recipe system to create batches.
a?? Must be able to lift 50 lb. bags of ingredients repeatedly.
a?? Good mathematical ability related to scaling recipes and general kitchen math.
a?? Must have good organizational skills, be able to measure accurately, read and understand directions, read a scale for weighed ingredients, read a thermometer, and document results.
a?? Culinary attire required.
a?? This facility processes the following allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, wheat, and soy. This position requires tolerance of working with and around these allergens.

Experiencea?? Minimum 1 year commercial cooking or baking experience required (restaurant, hotel, bakery, manufacturing, or class/educational program, etc.).
