Job Title: Purchasing Project Manager
Reports To : Purchasing Logistics Manager
Position Summary: Responsible for total procurement cycle of material including sourcing, planning, purchasing, delivering, and returning of material in support of project requirements.

Position Summary: Responsible for total procurement cycle of material including sourcing, planning, purchasing, delivering, and returning of material in support of project requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and manage internal customers relationships.
- Regularly issue Purchase Orders to support assigned jobs.
- Lead development of a standard, efficient, streamlined supply chain strategy in cooperation with internal customers and suppliers.
- Negotiate agreements, terms, and pricing with suppliers for assigned projects.
- Establish positive relationship with suppliers, facilitate continuous improvement.
- Establish material forecasting plan for projects, and maintain a Purchasing Status Report.
- Assist the project team and drive the proper process for building material submittal packages .
- Solicit and analyze the job material estimate.
- Develop project purchasing & delivery plans to meet jobs specific needs/requirements as it relates to purchasing, delivery, and receipt of material.
- Follow established procedures and processes to manage job assignments.
- Collaborate with PEs, GFs, and SUPs to develop a comprehensive list of tools, consumables, and supplies needed to construct the job in an organized fashion.
- Be active member of project team to influence purchasing decisions.
- Provide weekly status reports/updates to management, analyze raw purchasing data, graph charts to reveal trends.
- Identify and Drive cost reduction opportunities, identify opportunities for application of Lean Six Sigma methodology
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent industry experience .
Experience: 5 - 10 years electrical material experience.
Specific Skills: Independent, strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, proactive and able to quickly learn new concepts and systems
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, ERP business systems (SAP, Oracle).
Supervisory Responsibility, if any: N/A
