Job Description
Job TitleShowroom Operations Associate - Midtown MiamiJob DescriptionThe primary function of this position is to assist in product merchandising and maintenance of showrooms. This position will work to implement product layout changes and moves based on Marketing and Visual direction.
Maintenance -Responsible for the cleanliness of the warehouse area and property, including but not limited to sweeping, sorting recyclable product packaging, properly storing supplies and inventory and keeping areas neat, clean, and organized. Helps maintain showroom exterior and interior. Maintains facility tools, equipment and appropriate stock of warehouse supplies. Handles minor repairs and touch-ups on display product as necessary.
Merchandising - Supports Visual Merchandising Coordinator by receiving, opening, tagging, and placing home accents. Assesses product displays meet merchandising standards by ensuring proper product placement and optimal lighting. Checks rugs, electrical cords and product for potential hazards and corrects. Assists with movement of sold display product to warehouse for customer pickup. Participates in overall showroom merchandising and placement of product.
Lights - - Responsible for changing light bulbs as needed in all areas of the showroom and direction of lighting.
Customer Pickup (select locations) - Prepares for customer pick-ups through timely unloading of pick up merchandise. Processes customer pick-ups including professional interaction with customers during the pick-up process, accurate processing of documents associated with pick-ups, and communicating with showroom management regarding any problems associated with those pick-ups. Also prepares display and clearance products for customer pick up.
Job RequirementsEducation - High school diploma to Bachelora??s Degree recommended
Work Experience - Zero to five years of Visual Merchandising experience within this type of environment
Computer Knowledge and Skills - General PC is required for this position
Full Time - This position is required to work a flexible 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday, with limited weekend hours in a retail furniture showroom/warehouse.
Physical Demands - heavy lifting in excess of 75 lbs and the ability to bend, reach and be on your feet for long periods of time. This position will be required to be on and carry a 12ft ladder. Moderate knowledge of and ability to use tools required.
Travel - from showroom to showroom, including overnight stays for merchandising projects. LocationMiami, FL 33137 US
