Supervisor - Support Services, Corporate Facilties - Full-time / Part-time

Laitram, L.L.C., is seeking an experienced Supervisor to join the Corporate Facilities Management and Engineering Department at our Harahan office. This position will supervise two working leads and direct a team of maintenance employees and contractors to support normal campus operations including meeting room set ups and supplies, general maintenance, custodial, landscaping, courier services and assisting with the demand and corrective work orders. The position will also direct our efforts for around safety, security, CCTV, parking, document and asset storage and retrieval. Responsibilities: Supervise and direct a Corporate Facilities maintenance team and contractors to support normal campus operations including meeting room set ups and supplies, general maintenance, custodial, landscaping, courier services and assisting with the demand and corrective work orders. The position will also direct our efforts for around safety, security, CCTV, parking, document and asset storage and retrieval. Recruit and develop talent to maintain a high performing team. Oversee and manage programs for routine safety, building and environmental inspections and serves as liaison to departments for Support Services. Oversee subcontractors providing services such as landscaping and custodial work through the campus. Assigns, reviews and inspects work performed by Team. Requirements: Minimum 10 years' of education, knowledge and experience in general maintenance, support services, or facilities management, preferably in institutional facilities, manufacturing, services environment. 7+ years' experience successfully directing a crew of hourly and/or contract employees. Able to work weekends and overtime as needed for project completion or campus emergencies. Excellent problem solving, organizational and communication skills. Familiarity with building codes and state operational requirements. Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
