Position Summary:
The Swing Cook prepares all natural whole foods from established menus and recipes for buffet service to the quality standard determined by the Executive Chef.
Accountabilities:
? Effectively prepare assigned items from designed menus and recipes for buffet service to the standard set by the Executive Chef.
? Perform other tasks as directed by the Senior Sous Chef/ Sous Chef on duty to ensure timely, high quality meal service (i.e. meal set up, menu labels, deep cleaning, etc.).
? Efficiently complete all advance preparations required for next day?s meal per Sous Chef.
? Perform other tasks as required; i.e. menu labels, deep cleaning.
? Maintain proper safety and sanitation practices

? Possesses strong core ethics, integrity, and values consistent with Kripalu?s organizational principles.
? Builds effective relationships, identifies internal and external customer expectations, sees issues from their point of view; offers practical, mutually beneficial recommendations, solutions and ideas.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma
- 1-3 years of professional cooking experience
- Experience with or interest in preparing vegetarian or natural food and large quantity cooking a must
- Formal education in the culinary arts
