#The Bakery Manager will be responsible for the management and the day-to-day operations of the bakeries front of house operations. He/She will work closely with the owners, front of house staff and back of house staff to ensure that our customers receive the highest quality service possible and that the team is following all operating standards. The manager will have to learn all areas of operations of the bakery and act as a leader.
  • Manage a team of front of house staff including scheduling, hiring/termination, training and general supervision
  • Oversee shift opening and closing managerial responsibilities - include cash handling, operational tasks, stocking, check lists, facilities/health department checks and ensure that cleanliness.
  • Floor Management responsibilities will include
  • Upholding service standards, product quality and cleanliness
  • Frequent decision making and troubleshooting
  • Maintain proper flow of service at all times
  • Guest interaction ensuring service and food quality, cultivating relationships and guest satisfaction.
  • Continuous communication with kitchen, FOH staff and owners
  • Train and orient new employees
  • Responsible for daily deposits and the correct operation of the POS system
  • Inventory and maintenance of par levels for FOH items and those used with the restaurant.
  • Enforce all health, safety and sanitation standards within the restaurant
  • Assist in training and executing new restaurant initiatives
  • Enforce quality/standards of the plates, pastries, etc to be served
  • Deal and interface with customers and customers complaints.
  • Work towards improving the overall business profit
  • Attention to detail!
  • Leadership must be an example to others and bring together all employees (FOH, BOH, etc)
  • Have to accurately and easily communicate standards and cooking method to staff and give order and speak clearly to the customers
The Bakery Manager will lead by example by working hard, being hands-on, being punctual and completing tasks timely. He/She will be able to communicate properly with customers and team members and bring an attitude to work together in order for the same goal of making the customers experience the best one ever.
Skills & Requirements
  • 2+ years of retail management experience required. We would look at some restaurant experience as well.
  • Pastry and/or kitchen experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge required
  • ServSafe Certificate
  • Detail oriented, organized and professional
  • High volume and fast paced restaurant experience needed
  • Cost control experience is needed
