Room Attendants - Full-time / Part-time

We are seeking detailed oriented, organized and efficient Room Attendants for our 394-room full service B Resort and Spa in Lake Buena Vista. The hotel is affiliated with the emerging lifestyle brand of B Hotels and ResortsA(R).
The ideal candidates will be responsible for cleaning and stocking guest rooms to ensure B Resort & Spa high standards of cleanliness. The Room Attendant position will come in contact with guests and will need to have positive guest interactions.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
• Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
• Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash.
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
• Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Other key qualifications include:

• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
• 3 year hotel experience strongly recommended
• Safety minded
• Must be capable of communicating in English
• Self-stating personality with an even disposition
• Team player and flexible
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces
• Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise push goods on a cart weighting a maximum of 50 lbs., at a continuous schedule

Salary: $11.00 /hour

Associates may be required to work different schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Attendance to all scheduled training sessions and meetings are required.
