Abiitan, a new Ecumen development located in the heart of the Mill City neighborhood of Downtown Minneapolis, is seeking two on-call Concierges to join their team. Ecumen is seeking an energetic, passionate, and skilled professional to serve the Abiitan community.
Abiitan, an Entrance Deposit community, consists of 86 Independent Living residences, as well as an additional floor of residences for those requiring Memory Care.

The Concierge is responsible for creating a positive first impression to all visitors, residents and staff. They are the crucial first point of contact for all residents and visitors. Responsible for providing general support to residents with a variety of administrative activities and related tasks.
Key Responsibilities for the Concierge:
  • Greets, in a courteous and professional manner, all persons entering the community.
  • Informs, guides, directs and otherwise assists residents, visitors, staff, guests and vendors tactfully and congenially to present the best possible image.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance about the local area.
  • Handle Abiitan's Community Rooms Reservation calendar.
  • Answer, screen and route all incoming calls to appropriate staff in a professional manner.
  • Types special reports, documents, correspondence and provides administrative assistance as directed from various departments and staff.
  • Updates the resident directory.
  • Sort and process incoming mail delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Must have High School Diploma or GED. Related experience required. Computer skills and software/hardware knowledge. Knowledge of the downtown area and Mill City neighborhood preferred. All employees must possess the ability to communicate effectively, including written and verbal skills; work well, both individually and as part of a team, through respect, collaboration and dedication; and successfully interact with a diverse culture base. The successful candidate must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently, and demonstrate a positive attitude, high integrity and ethical awareness. EOE/AA.
