Dartmouth College seeks an Assistant Director and Reunion Manager in Conferences & Events to contribute to the strategic and tactical development of robust events and programs that promote the engagement of alumni, parents, and friends in support of the priorities of the Advancement division. Collaborating closely with the Director of Advancement Events, Vice President for Alumni Relations, Advancement colleagues, administrators and our strong network of alumni volunteers, our Assistant Director and Reunion Manager will benchmark, create and comprehensively manage successful undergraduate Reunion and Homecoming programs in addition to other Advancement events. Serving as the primary reunion contact, our Assistant Director will manage and train our volunteers, as well as serve as the primary resource for our volunteer network and a variety of stakeholders as we work to enhance the alumni experience in a rapidly changing environment. Providing guidance and advice on organizational and operational matters, our Assistant Director will serve on standing reunion leadership committees and create and distribute periodic and timely bulletins to Reunion Chairpersons to provide updates.
This full-time position is based in Hanover, NH and is eligible for our benefits package, a competitive benefits program. The ability to travel is required.

A high level of attention to detail and initiative is crucial in organizing venue arrangements, catering, communications collateral, various needs of program speakers, audio visual, etc. Working in a team environment, our Assistant Director will mentor and participate in the training of other event and reunion staff. Our successful candidate will gather data useful in analyzing effectiveness of programs and events through invitation tracking, event participation, and post event surveys. Keys to your success will be your demonstrated skills in areas such as written and verbal communication, customer service, event and project management, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to be flexible in an ever-changing environment. Volunteer management and experience working with senior members of a large organization with many stakeholders is critical. Experience working with alumni in a higher education environment is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products and experience working with relational databases is required.
