Supervises the activities of culinary services Team Members to provide exceptional customer service to our Residents and guests in a variety of dining settings.  Hires and schedules Team Members to maintain adequate staffing levels.   Provides supervision and leadership support in dining services operations, responsibilities may include dining room, dish-room and kitchen oversight.  Ensure prompt courteous service for Residents and guests following Willow Valley standards. Coordinate the activities and work assignments of Team Members, and has a working knowledge to be able to fill in to cover shifts as needed.

 

Portray a professional image in dress and mannerisms and to ensure the same for Team Members.  Addresses and follows up on the concerns of Residents and handles complaints. Oversees and enforces all dining services policies and procedure, and makes recommendations for procedural changes. Maintain records of meal counts, charges, daily report of activities and daily food safety systems. Schedule assigned Team Members in accordance to the budget, to meet the needs of the operation and the Team Members, and maintains time keeping records.

Inspect dining rooms and serving stations for neatness and cleanliness.  Requisitions table lines and other dining room supplies for tables and serving stations.  Conducts Team Meetings and is responsible for communicating appropriate information. Conduct training for Team Members to ensure Willow Valley standards are met.

 

Supervise Team Members in the Culinary Service Department.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this facility.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, orienting and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Supervisory experience in a senior living community, restaurant or other culinary establishments.
