The Global Programs Specialist role operates within the Cambridge Institute of International Education (CIIE) business unit, an education management and consulting firm that facilitates international participation in U.S. high schools and strengthens the ability of those institutions to educate international students.
Position Overview:
The Global Programs Associate is responsible for ensuring that sales processes and systems both support the practical and efficient delivery of the companya??s sales objectives. Reporting to the Global Sales Operations Manager, the Global Programs Associate works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are supported within the organization. The Global Programs Associate is also responsible for leading new business development initiatives that are designed to support our core mission and services.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation of team policies and practices to ensure the delivery of consistent, accurate, and efficient Sales and Marketing processes
  • Work to ensure all sales organization objectives are assigned in a timely fashion
  • Assist internal departments to develop the market-entry strategy and sales channel for new products
  • Coordinate training plans for the Sales team
  • Work closely with Sales Management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement
  • Assist Sales Management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies
  • Facilitate an organization of continuous process improvement
  • Monitor the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the Sales organization
  • Ensure high level of communication with customers
  • Source and manage vendor organizations to support company salesa?? objectives
  • Achieve strategic objectives defined by company management

Organizational Alignment:
  • Report to the Global Sales Operations Manager
  • Direct the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed, coordinating with the appropriate management-level supervisors
  • Foster close, cooperative relationships with peer leaders, sales management, and sales and support personnel

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
  • BA or BS required (MA or above preferred)
  • High energy and comfort working in a fast-paced, start-up type environment; self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently
  • Resilience to unexpected setbacks; ability to adapt to frequent shifts in priorities
  • Interest or experience in global business or education; commitment to diversity in education
  • Previous consulting experience
  • Strong communication skills, including telephone and email skills
  • Strong writing skills, including experience writing business proposals
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Flexibility and willingness to work and communicate outside normal business hours; willingness to travel globally
  • Strong commitment to customer service and relationship management
  • Sales/business development experience with proven track record of results selling services or programs
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese or another foreign language(s)
Preferred Additional Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Direct or remote management experience
  • Strong expertise in developing and implementing closed-loop-reporting processes for Sales and Marketing organizations
  • Experience interacting with key stakeholders
  • International travel experience
  • Marketing experience; event-planning experience
  • Secondary school administrative experience and/or ESL-teaching experience
  • 2-5 years of experience with 1-2 years in a start-up environment preferred
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency status
