These contractors would be working within the "Network Management Center" - NMC. This company specializes in transporting freight internationally for their customers and makes sure they do it with exceptional customer service. These teams work directly with their customers in situations when freight needs to be expedited and problems need to be solved quickly. This could be due to a situation where a truck broke down, or another emergency situation. In this role, this person will speak directly with the customer in letting them know the method they are going to follow to solve the problem.

While solving these problems, they will interact with different locations across the world to make sure the problems are solved.This company has over 300 locations nationwide. When an issue arises with a customer, this team will handle it. They will figure out which one of their 300 locations is closest geographically to the issue, and then have that team set up the shipping methods with carriers local to them. The person in this role sitting in Romulus will be the voice to the customer throughout that process, and also with their internal team getting updates on the status of getting the shipment set up.

Throughout this process, professional customer service is expected. Also problem solving and multitasking on the computer will be very important. They will be constantly emailing and updating customers on the status of their shipments.

- Track and trace to ensure smooth and timely flow of international shipments.
- Answer calls in queue, always providing exceptional customer service.
- Enter data accurately and timely into our operating system.
- Provide communication professionally with high volume of email and instant message internally as well as with service providers and customer.
- Maintain control over workload to ensure that no files become exceptions.
- Understand routing and effective modes of transportation.
- Display patience in relatively stressful situations, including the ability to deal with customers seeking solutions to challenges.
- Work well under pressure with time restraints.
- Meet compliance to regulations at all times. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer policies / requirements.
- Seek to understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency.
