Aerotek is currently seeking a Manufacturing Optics Technician for a contract position in Wilsonville, OR. This position will start on the day shift and then move to the swing shift.
Job Summary:
Applies engineering theory and practical knowledge, under direction of engineering staff, to build and test opto-mechanical, opto-electrical.
* Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
* Full knowledge of the job. Substantial acquaintance with work and understanding of general aspects of the job with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
* Quickly assesses if measured and calculated results are reasonable and not grossly in error.
* Troubleshoot test equipment and determine appropriate action required to get the equipment repaired.
* Understands company policies and procedures to complete tasks.
* Use software tools for data analysis and reporting.
* Normally receives little instruction on daily work and routine tasks. Receives detailed instructions on newly introduced assignments.
* Understands optical performance characteristics for optical elements such as LCDs, polarizers, lenses, filters, films, and diffusers.
Requirements
-Software used is Excel and a number of company developed programs
-Having PC and Windows experience is required
-alignment and image quality optics experience required
-Will be using Minolta CA-210 (Color Analyzer)
Education + Experience REQUIREMENT:
-Associates degree plus 7 years related experience
