EDUCATION: Associates Degree preferred
3 years of experience in a paint operation in an industrial manufacturing facility.
Automotive experience preferred.
**Will consider experience in lieu of degree.
JOB DUTIES:
*Will be responsible for supervising 2 team leaders, 6 robot operators, 25-40 contract paint employees, 1 Paint Technician
DAY 1 must be knowledgeable of paint robotics and paint processes.
-Supervise, evaluate, train and coach team members and ensure production of quality painted parts
- Direct Team Members to accomplish the department's daily and weekly goals
- Generate reports using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint regarding downtime, production, training, and inventory
- Troubleshoot paint robotic equipment and correct problems as they occur
- Count inventory and verify amounts
- Coach and counsel Team Members to ensure accountability for their work performance
- Complete corrective action for Team Members when necessary
- Complete Team Member performance evaluations
- Manage vacation requests by Team Members to ensure department is properly staffed
- Train Team Members on Paint equipment, systems, and processes
- Work with engineering and other departments to develop process improvements, identify issues.
- All other duties as assigned
