Formulation Lab Tech - Full-time / Part-time

Introduction:

• A mid-sized chemical manufacturer in the East Troy area is looking for a formulation lab technician for their company.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in the Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, etc.)
• Experience with pH meters, viscometers.
• 6 months experience in a laboratory environment
• Rheology and physical chemistry background is a plus.

Job Description:

• Person will work directly under the Technical Director. Person will mentor and train the tech in: following instructions on projects, water borne coatings, chemical testing, physical property tests (viscosity testing, pH testing), and understanding formulations.
• Multi-tasking is critical.
• Strong communication is critical.
• Accurate documentation/attention to detail is extremely important.
• Attention to detail, communication and documentation are a top priority. 401k starts immediately after getting hired on, 6% match, vacation is negotiable (2 weeks likely), increase vacation the longer you work there. Upon hire, salary will likely be around 40k. Premiums are paid by the company for medical plan and all they have to do is pay the deductible.
