Aston Carter is seeking a Production Planner for a full-time opportunity with a great company in the Fort Wayne, IN area.
This person will be responsible for the following on a day-to-day basis:
* Plans and schedules purchased raw materials and components for production utilizing ERP systems
* Expedites purchased items as required for timely delivery to support production requirements.
* Manages inventories to maintain proper levels of purchased items.
* Manage Past Due report, expedite late deliveries and follow-up on scheduled deliveries/logistics to ensure timeliness.
* Communicates information to Manufacturing and other user departments regarding inventory levels and delivery status of materials and components
* Coordinate efficient and effective improvements of ERP for planning and scheduling purposes.
* Assists in designing and implementing outcomes of cost savings programs related to continuous improvement in the Materials Department and monitors those improvements on a continual basis
To be qualified for this position, candidates must have:
* 5+ years of production/materials planning experience in a manufacturing setting
* Proficiency in any kind of ERP software system (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, BPICS, Epicore, etc.)
* APICS Certification is preferred
* A.S. Degree or B.S. Degree is preferred
