Industrial Painter

We are seeking applicants for a full time industrial painter position for a Cincinnati-based company. This is a great long-term career for an experienced industrial painter who has painted large structures and/or machines in the past.

Industrial Painter Compensation: $14-16/hr. based on experience

MUST HAVE CLEAN BACKGROUND

1st and 3rd shift 

Industrial Painter Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, set up, and test all paint spraying equipment prior to use to make sure all equipment is in working order.
• Apply surface materials when required to fill any surface imperfections. Inspect surface condition of substrate prior to coating and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor.
• Select and use various types of hand tools, abrasive sandpapers, and grinders.
• Understand and be able to recognize surfaces for painting readiness including the presence of grit.
• Prepare and mix coating materials in accordance with coating manufacturer's specifications.
• Apply protective coatings to various types of surfaces (generally metal) using airless, air-assisted, conventional, electrostatic, pressurized air spray, high volume-low pressure, plural component paint spray equipment, thermal spray, brush, or roller.
• Measure coating film thicknesses dry and wet as required by job specifications.
• Clean all paint spraying equipment upon completion of use and report any defective parts or equipment maintenance required to immediate supervisor. Keep work area clean and free of debris.

Industrial Painter Requirements:

• Candidates must have proven industrial painting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Candidates must be able work over time as needed

Industrial Painter Compensation: $15-17/hr. based on experience
