A successful HRMS Specialist will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and one plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of staff.
  • Advanced experience with HR systems including employee database applications, applicant tracking systems, performance/talent based modules.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in order to solve system and process issues. 
  • Project management experience

The Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) Specialist position is responsible for performing a wide variety of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and project related tasks.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Maintains HRIS Systems: enters data changes, ensures data submissions are compliant with company standards, and audits HRIS systems for correct systems usage.
  • Prepares reports: produces and audits standardized HR reports for the business and internal HR use. Creates new dashboards and writes/creates complex reports within our HR reporting software.
  • Maintains working knowledge of DISH policies and procedures to be able to clearly communicate applicable information with departments and individuals.
  • Large emphasis on project-oriented work including writing business requirements, working with IT as necessary, performing user acceptance testing, and sign off on project implementation.
  • Provides troubleshooting and support for HR systems across the business.
