Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health (“Bienvivir") is a community-based, participant-centered, comprehensive health care delivery program that advocates and promotes quality of life, optimum independence, and dignity for the frail elderly. Since 1987, Bienvivir has served the frail elderly population of El Paso, Texas by utilizing the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly model. Currently, Bienvivir provides comprehensive health care services to over 800 participants at three facilities in the El Paso area.  Bienvivir is currently accepting applications for the following position:                                  KITCHEN AIDE (FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME General Description: The Kitchen Aide under the guidance of the food Service Supervisor is involved in multiple activities to support meal service to participants, employees and other individuals.  Major responsibilities include: 1) Working in the kitchen with basic food preparation, pre-prep assistance for cooks, and food portioning, 2) Serving elderly participants directly or through set-up of meal trays, 3) Working in a dish room operating an automated dish machine and manual ware-washing three-compartment sink, in addition to overall kitchen cleaning responsibilities.  Kitchen Aides must be able to demonstrate sensitivity and preofessional behavior working with elderly and support staff.  Qualifications / Requirements:   High School Diploma or GED equivalency.Current food Handlers CardCurrent CPR CertificationPrior experience in healthcare food services preferred.Prior experience working with the elderly preferred.Bilingual English/Spanish preferredAble to read, write, and speak in English.Able to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisor/manager.       An Employer of Choice, Bienvivir offers eligible employees: medical insurance, a prescription drug plan, dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, paid holidays, paid time off, a retirement plan, an employee assistance program, education assistance, and disability plans.
