Providence is calling a Registered Nurse Associate Manager (1.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.

Providence Portland is a 33-bed, Adult Acute Inpatient Psychiatric. There are two units a 9 bed and a 24 bed unit. The leadership team is seeking a clinically strong psychiatric nurse leader or interested in staff development, education and expanding their leadership skills through process improvement strategies. This associate nurse manager position will be essential in leading the team providing support on swing, night and weekends. Our goal is to construct and excel as a premier mental health service on the Eastside. Proving high quality psychiatric care with compassion lead by a strong team of skilled clinicians. This unit is undergoing a reorganization to improve care to our patients which are at the heart of our mission. * This is a full-time, variable shift position.

* 8 hour shifts with (3) evening and (4) day shifts per pay period.

* Weekend rotations required - 12 hr. shift 11:00 am to 11:00 pm.

In this position, you will:

* Be accountable for the provision and quality of nursing services in the Mental Health Department at Providence Portland Medical Center, in support of Providence Health & Services System and Regional goals.

* Strategically ensure a balance of optimal and efficient patient care; staff, patient, and physician satisfaction; and cooperative partnerships with other organizational departments and professional groups.

* Have a constant focus on patient-centeredness and staff and patient safety.

* Create and maintain standards and systems for care delivery for your department.

Required qualifications for this position include:

* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

* Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) License

* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider

* 6 years in nursing with experience in progressive leadership roles

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

* Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master degree in related field

* National certification from American Nurses Association (ANA) or Professional Organization in relevant field of clinical expertise
