Primary Function

The HR Data Specialist serves as a primary contact in providing metrics and reporting related support across multiple Talent Management disciplines. He/She will work closely with Talent leaders and staff to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and develop and execute a comprehensive set of HR metrics that help identify workforce trends and understand changing business needs including comparing data against internal and industry benchmarks.

Work To Be Performed
  • Partner with stakeholders across business units to build and implement reporting and analytic solutions that provide leaders with information necessary to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Serve as functional lead for Talent Management reporting & analytics related initiatives ensuring alignment to strategy.Support HR team with key recruitment insights reporting (time to fill; cost per hire; hires; retention), talent metrics (promotion reporting; high potential career movement; learning and development tracking; performance management insights), as well as ad- hoc reporting and data analysis as needed.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of business intelligence principles and industry best practices to make recommendations for gaining efficiencies.
  • Leverage data extraction tools and approaches to perform complex data analysis and formulate meaningful insights.
  • Provide inputs to Enterprise HR Dashboard and common HR data repository
  • Monitor effectiveness of reporting and analytics products to ensure optimal value to the business, modifying or operationalizing new metrics and dashboard products as needed.
  • Create scheduled reports and respond to ad-hoc queries from senior management and other areas of the company.
  • Review new reporting requests to be sure the request is consistent with HR systems and data strategies.
  • Create, maintain, and ensure quality assurance of human resources data sets, reports, and metrics.
  • Recommend process and system improvements, follow up on recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain standardized dashboards and other related metrics reports for organization-wide and HR department evaluation.
  • Assist in the identification of data integrity problems and recommend solutions.
  • Utilize technology and analytical tools to develop, analyze and interpret HR workforce data.
  • Other special projects as needed

Qualifications
  • Bachelors’ degree required, preferably in HR, Business or MIS.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience working in a highly quantitative and analytical role, including the development of metrics and trend analysis.
  • Extensive and advanced experienced with MS Excel, including the ability to write complex and advanced formulas, VBA, and macros.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting using Workday, SAP or other cloud-based application required; experience with Tableau, Qualtrics, multiple Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS systems a plus.
  • Experience in gathering functional requirements and developing technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with sources of industry-standard human capital benchmark data.
  • Ability to create and deliver effective and impactful presentations.
  • Comfortable driving change management.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple projects in an environment with competing and sometimes ambiguous demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative and engaging work style.
