This role resides on the Advanced Threat and Assessment team within IT Security and is focused on infrastructure vulnerability management, threat assessments and security research. As someone with a keen interest in this area, you will recommend improvements to our overall security posture with a desire to go beyond “check the box” assessments and understand the true impact of a vulnerability to the TJX global environment. You will help drive adoption of secure design and coding best practices by working alongside development, operations and architecture teams in a way that instills best practices in each of these areas through as a natural part of their processes.

The Skills that will Make You Successful
- Threat modeling and code reviews. You will conduct research into new attacks and understand their potential impact on TJX systems and applications. You’ll be able to analyze them and make recommendations to project and architecture teams.
- Ability to perform in depth security reviews and assessments. Our application security engineers also perform white and black box penetration testing.
- Deep experience of web technologies and automated/manual testing tools
- Ability to mentor and coach IT Security professionals
- 5+ Years in IT Security environment or equivalent
- Must have a solid understanding of computer security concepts including OWASP Top 10 and SANS 25
- Must have a solid understanding of core networking concepts and protocols as well as cloud computing, containers and mobile technology stacks.
- Must have development skills and a solid understanding of secure SDLC
- Knowledge and understanding of information technology industry trends and emerging technologies and an ability to relate them to the company and its objectives
- Familiar with IT Regulations, PCI/Sarbanes-Oxley/Mass Privacy laws
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Relevant industry certifications preferred
