Solution Engineer III

Framingham, MA

Duties: Perform software engineering supporting the design of complex and large scale systems solutions to meet the business goals for an international retail company. Work on project solution designs that address key business needs, including analyzing multiple solution options. Specific responsibilities include:

• Partner with Enterprise Architecture Team on creation of conceptual architecture addressing high level business requirements and participate in Solution Architecture Reviews for applicable projects.
• Author complex macro level technical designs that define how functional requirements are technically enabled.
• Provide solution architecture and technical design guidance and assistance to project teams in the configuration, testing, implementation, and support of technical solutions.
• Responsible for technical solution approach for highly complex and enterprise level projects
• Provide technical subject matter expertise on multiple business applications/services including: critical, highly integrated enterprise business applications/services, end to end business application processes.
• Provide input into technical application roadmaps and design approaches to solve visible and complex business problems.
• Provide input into design best practice methodologies, standards and defines standards for specific processes or components.
• Recommend technical solution alternatives based on variances of scope, budget, and timelines.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a directly related field plus ten (10) years of Information Technology experience.

Must have 8 years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Web application development, design, unit testing and implementation using ATG /Oracle Commerce for medium to large scale retailers

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Java EE/J2EE, XML, SOAP, Servlet, Web services, ANT, and Eclipse IDE.
• Development experience of ATG / Oracle Commerce including BCC, Store modules, repository architecture, ATG Merchandising, Product Catalog, ATG Promotions, Payment processing, External Systems Integration, and Web services

Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Experience with Endeca Search / Experience Manager integration with ATG in at least one of the implementations
• Experience with ATG versions 10+
• Demonstrated knowledge of Web user interface technologies HTML, JSP, Json, AJAX, and JavaScript.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle database technologies Oracle SQL, Store Procedures, and DDL statements
• Extensive experience with Application Servers JBOSS and WebLogic
• Experience interpreting functional needs and writing or editing solution designs for new systems, systems changes, or system enhancements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software development lifecycle.
• Experience in the design phase of highly complex Enterprise level systems project
