Learning and Development Trainer

Job Summary

Located within Northeast geographic territory of US, manage, direct, coordinate and deliver instructor led training (ILT) and blended leadership training solutions. Supports all Marmaxx departments (i.e., Field, Marketing, Finance, etc.), Corporate departments within the Home Office as well as other domestic locations (ie., Buying Offices) and other territories as needed.

Deliver core leadership curriculum, as well as functional/compliance training as needed, i.e., maintaining a Harassment Free Work Environment. Post-training event, provide support to learners and their managers/supervisors back on the job. Evaluate and assess training and its impact.

Major Areas of Responsibility
  • Deliver/facilitate core curriculum leadership courses to individual contributors and supervisors at assigned locations.
  • Maintain continuous subject matter expertise in course content and how it relates to the business need(s); use appropriate terminology and relevant business examples; help learners apply learning to on-the-job situations; ensure knowledge and skills in subject areas remain current.
  • Partner with site coordinators/facilities to ensure room layout and equipment optimize learning.
  • May deliver functional training and accelerated leadership training as needed.
  • Provide post-training event feedback and support to learners and their supervisors/managers on the job through continuous coaching and feedback.
  • Evaluate and assess ILT instruction and blended learning solutions and their impact.
  • Gather, organize and analyze information on the impact of learning solutions against key business drivers.
  • Provide recommendations for future learning solutions.
  • Independently plan, prioritize, schedule and manage time based on curriculum calendar and business needs.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 3-5 years in training related position
