Home Instead Senior Care® - Windward & Central Oʻahu is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Human Resources Assistant to join our team in a ground level opportunity, become a key player, and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community. Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.
Objective:
The Human Resources Assistant is our first line of contact for our clients and potential CAREGivers. This ground level, key-player position screens, schedules, and processes documentation throughout the employment process to maintain efficiency and uphold the standards of the Home Instead Senior Care network.
Responsibilities:
- Reflect the core values of Kukui Nā Kupuna, LLC, d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead Senior Care franchise
- Answer each employment inquiry in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner
- Schedule applicant interviews in an efficient and professional manner
- Conduct reference checks, criminal background and motor vehicle checks, and drug screens on all CAREGivers
- Create and maintain all employment records and all other employment-related documents in coordination with our Human Resources partner
- Schedule CAREGiver orientation and training
- Maintain applicant and CAREGiver records
- Schedule quarterly CAREGiver meetings
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- High school graduation or the equivalent
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
- Be patient and congenial on the telephone
- Be able to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information, and meet deadlines
- Demonstrate discretion, integrity, and fair-mindedness consistent with office standards, practices, policies, and procedures
- Present a professional appearance and demeanor
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, by establishing good working relationships with the franchise owner, office colleagues, CAREGivers, and the community
- Have the ability to operate office equipment
- Have computer skill, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and have an ability to quickly learn new systems
- Have the ability to perform duties in a professional office setting
- Have the ability to work as a part of a team
- Knowledge of the senior care industry preferred but not required
