POSITION OBJECTIVE

The RLPM develops and implements the Loss Prevention strategy for 4 - 8 Districts within an assigned region. The RLPM is responsible for driving results through achievement of goals related to inventory shortage, budget lines, cash variance, and operational compliance. In addition, the RLPM is responsible for the selection, ongoing development, and talent management of exempt Loss Prevention personnel within the region.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES shortage & operational controls
  • Analyze financial results, shrink data, operational assessments, and Loss Prevention metrics to identify trends and develop team strategies to improve execution.
  • Manage and conduct high shrink investigation to develop root cause of loss and develop solutions that prevent recurrence.
  • Develops and implements effective operational strategies to drive profitability.
  • Maintains a high level of communication with business partners to minimize business interruptions and potential liability.
  • Maintains a strong partnership with the Regional and District Managers to ensure execution of all operational efficiencies, company programs, and company policies.
  • Conduct store/market visits as needed to ensure implementation of LP and store Best Practices, challenge down trending and up trending stores, and address issues by location.
talent management
  • Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and retention of exempt level Loss Prevention personnel within assigned region.
  • Manages 4 - 8 District Loss Prevention Managers and indirectly manages Loss Prevention Managers, Store Loss Prevention Associates, and District Auditors.
  • Responsible for ensuring their staff completes the required on-boarding training curriculum for their position.
  • Conducts talent-building sessions to effectively assess promotability and development opportunities of team members.
  • Maintains a backfill of both internal and external candidates to support the companys growth.
theft deterrence & resolution
  • Ensures that all internal and external investigations are completed in manner that complies with all corporate and legal standards.
  • Appears as a representative of the company in various legal proceedings.
  • Supports investigative efforts into policy violations, business abuse, and safety and or HR issues as needed.
  • Ensures physical security functions and controls are in place to ensure protection of company assets.
  • Evaluates and recommends deterrence programs and tools based on market and industry trends.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Territory VP of Loss Prevention and/or Corporate Loss Prevention.
  • Professionally negotiates and executes agreements with, attorneys, customers, court systems, and other governmental agencies as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

required
  • Strong time management, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Multiple years of LP experience at the multi-level store level
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures and maintains high ethical standards
  • Ability to travel stores within assigned area and maneuver around sales floors, stock rooms, and offices
  • Frequent travel, which includes overnight stays are required
