Our Client is a local owned and operated full-service label company providing custom label design and printing for a wide range of industries . In addition to complete label printing capabilities, our label company offers specialty label customization. Our experienced team walks you through the label process and ensures you get the right designs, materials and printing methods for your label.

Position Summary:

This entry level position offers a great opportunity for growth in the company. All new associates start by working in the hand assembly and production support area. Here you will demonstrate your ability to be a member of the team and a focused employee. As you progress, successful candidates will help perform quality control and packaging of labels. Work primarily in rewind department transferring labels onto rolls according to job specifications. Position involves routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and machine. Requires compliance to company procedures, safety and quality measures.

Essential Functions:

• Primary Duties in initial Hire Period:
  • Assemble labels and package to instructions.
• Additional Duties as skills are demonstrated:
  • Transfer large rolls of labels to smaller rolls of specified size.
  • Check labels for quality (ie. ink spots, broken lines, color inconsistencies, etc.)
  • Perform mathematical calculations to ensure proper label count for each roll and shipment.
  • Package and prepare labels for shipment and label each box with contents.
  • Read work order for machine set-up and run job per customer specifications.
  • Set-up and take-down individual jobs and maintain equipment.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and recordkeeping.
  • Maintain proper safety precautions and follow safety standards at all times.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Education/Experience:

High School diploma or GED preferred. No previous job related experience required. Basic math, writing, and verbal comprehension.

Skills/Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity.
• Able to handle constant deadlines and changing priorities.
• Finger dexterity and basic motor coordination required for machine set-up, take-down and related rewind duties.
• Able to comprehend semi-complex instructions.
• Basic problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Individual needs to be organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to develop product and machine knowledge.
• Individual must be able to prioritize tasks and complete projects.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Physical Demands:

• Position requires ability to stand for long durations.
• Must be able to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads: 30 lbs. to 50lbs without assistance over 50lbs with assistance.
• Vision must be within normal range with or without correction and must be able to check labels for color and quality.
• Must have good finger dexterity and be able to use hands to manipulate labels and make minor machine adjustments.

Pay: $12.50/hr

Hours:

Swing: Mon-Thurs 2:00pm to 11:30pm

Friday 2:00pm to 6:00pm
