Customer Service Representative

Logistics company seeking customer service representatives to interact, build relationships and create long-term relationships with our customers.

Located in Dallas. Hours and days vary, must be flexible.

The role of customer service in the logistics is very similar to an account management position combined with order processing and inventory control. This position requires multiple skill sets.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Order Processing
    • deal directly with customers either by telephone, electronically or face to face
    • process orders, create pick tickets, communicate with order pickers
  • organize workflow to meet customer timeframes
  • manage customers' accounts
  • keep records of customer interactions and transactions
  • respond promptly to customer inquiries
  • maintain customer databases
  • manage administration
  • communicate and coordinate with internal departments
  • follow up on customer interactions
  • communicate and coordinate with external departments such as carriers and delivery locations
Qualifications:
  • Skills
    • Personal Relationships - has intimate knowledge of the customer’s needs, you will be working with that customer for weeks, months or years
    • is able to communicate clearly, both written and in speech
    • works accurately and with eye for detail
    • is able to analyze the customers situation by using automated information systems
    • Experience in Logistics Field a plus
    • Will be tested on data entry skills
