Position Summary:

The QA Supervisor will provide daily supervision of the QA inspectors and technician, to ensure all inspection requirements are performed and production flow demand is met. The QA Supervisor will create Certificates of Conformance or inspect parts as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Our Company is looking for a talented and knowledgeable individual to strengthen our Quality Assurance group by bringing best-in-class inspection processes and capabilities to our team. The successful candidate will be experienced with inspection measurement techniques and provide leadership and mentoring. The QA Supervisor will report directly to our company's President and is accountable for:

Analyzing and resolving product quality non-conformances. Works with Production Supervisor and cell leads in solving quality related problems.
  • Approving in-process and finished products by confirming specifications and conducting measurement and visual tests.
  • Completing various inspection reports as directed by the customer.
  • Providing direction/instruction to inspectors with regards to customer specifications.
  • Setting priorities for Inspectors.
  • Maintaining the condition and the distribution of all measuring equipment as well as calibration requirements.
  • Assisting in completing Certificates of Conformance as needed.
  • Making recommendations for inspection equipment or fixturing to improve the current inspection process.
  • Promoting a team environment among inspectors and machinists.
  • Participating as a member of the root cause problem solving team to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Following all safety rules.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years experience in a manufacturing environment in a quality inspection capacity.
  • High school degree with additional training courses in quality processes. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable with machine shop processes and measuring instruments (e.g. hand measuring tools, comparators, CMM’s).
  • Understands AQL sampling plans.
  • Familiar with Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, analytical and data driven.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Team player.
  • Excellent communication skills.
