Accounting Analyst
POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting Analyst is responsible for analyzing various billing reports to ensure that claims are need to the proper expected reimbursement and that claims have been paid according to contract. In addition, they are responsible for researching contracting/payment discrepancies, contact payer plans for clarification of payments, and review the claims for appropriate revenue codes and net the claims according to contract.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance required. Must have a minimum of three years work experience in accounting and/or finance.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES
The Accounting Analyst must be able to read and interpret payer contracts and compare to actual bills as they generate using accounting knowledge on a daily basis. Ability to read, interpret, and explain EOB’s & UB’s preferred but not required. Heavy analytical skills with excellent communication skills required. Must be able to work in a fast paced, high stress environment. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, MS Office required.
