Mechanical Assembler

Essential responsibilities:

Main assembly - Follow diagram & written directions to assemble chambers using small hand tools such as knife, screwdriver, wrench & tap
Sub-assembly - Frame - Measure, cut & glue foam board insulation to chamber frame
Sub-assembly - Window - Assemble channel which has been filed with fiberglass insulation into rectangular shape using pre-cut corner pieces to hold in place
Sub-assembly - Door - Assemble door using fiberglass insulation
Sub-assembly - Motor Balance - Balance small motors and fan blade assemblies per instructions. Competency (knowledge, skills & abilities)
Able to read & understand prints, diagrams & instructions given by supervisor
Able to cut & prep wire, crimp wire, deburr & install brackets using hand or power tools
Able to use hand or power tools, drill & tap, deburr, & cut stainless steel, copper or other materials.
Able to read, comprehend & communicate in English
Able to read, decipher & follow written instructions
Able to use a tape measure or ruler to determine proper lengths of material to be cut using fractional & decimal based math
Able to use basic math skills & count accurately for determining proper sizes of materials to be used, counting material & parts, etc.
Able to lift & move material & tools weighing 1 pound to 40 pounds, occasionally lifting & moving objects weighing 25 pounds to 50 pounds.
